Very few television series are able to keep their edge and sharp writing for very long. South Park has managed to do so for eleven years so far. The animation for South Park takes four to six days to produce and is not sent to Asia, making much of the content quick to
get to the screen. This gives South Park an edge not enjoyed by
other animated series.
Some of the key episodes of the eleventh season include With Apologies to Jesse Jackson, in which Randy Marsh says the N-word on Wheel of Fortune. He spends the lion's share of the episode trying to make up for it. Le Petit Tourette has Cartman pretending to have Tourette's syndrome and swearing openly. The three-part Emmy-nominated Imaginationland has terrorists trying to destroy our imaginations, and our government hoping to prevent them.
If you have ever liked South Park, don't stop now. Season Eleven is full of laughs and disgusted groans. The only things I'd suggest is an original vocal track that bleeps out the cursing (this one doesn't hold back a bit), and maybe some commentary tracks.
