Samantha Who? is a funny sitcom in a time where very few shows stand out as being truly hilarious. Unfortunately, due to a killer time-slot move in the middle of its second season as well as some interesting writing directions, the show's ratings declined. It turned out to be the last season of this once promising show.

Christina Applegate plays Samantha, a woman who has amnesia. She enters back into her "old" life (job, friends, etc.), but doesn't like what she discovers about her former self. With the help of her friends Andrea (Jennifer Esposito) and Dena (played fabulously by Melissa McCarthy) and her parents (Jean Smart and Kevin Dunn), Sam tries to come to terms with life as she knows it now. In the second season, Sam gets a new boyfriend, Owen (James Tupper), and a new job. She continues to discover things about her pre-amnesiac self and gets to righting the wrongs of the past.

This three-disc set includes 17 regular episodes, as well as three additional ones. If you, like many viewers, missed the final seven episodes (the show was pulled from the regular season lineup, and the seven episodes were thrown in at random times), then this second-season collection is a must-watch to put some closure on the show.

As a whole, Samantha Who? is a creative, fun show to watch, generally entertaining and definitely providing some laugh-out-loud moments. The truly stellar cast elevates Samantha Who? beyond what it might have been with lesser actors.
