 Disney is well-known for releasing DVDs of a television series season with four episodes, so at first, that is what this seems like it might be-four episodes from the show HANNAH MONTANA FOREVER, the last season of the wildly popular HANNAH MONTANA show. But in reality, it's actually a themed compilation of seven episodes from the HANNAH MONTANA shows over the past five seasons, focusing on Hannah revealing her identity.
The episodes on the disc go backward in time order, starting with a double episode from the current HANNAH MONTANA FOREVER series. Called "I'll Always Remember You," this is Hannah Montana at her finest, and I'd go so far as to say that this is one of the best episodes that has been produced to date.
Hannah reveals herself to the world as Hannah and Miley while on the Jay Leno show. For longtime fans of the series, this one is quite poignant and will likely draw a few tears (I'm embarrassed to admit, it did for me...).
The additional six episodes on the disc cover Miley's revelation of herself as Hannah Montana to various people, spanning all the way back to when she first tells Lilly her true identity. It's fun to see how the characters have grown and changed over the years, and seeing it in reverse order makes it seem more dramatic for some reason. Also on the disc is a sneak peek at the new Ashley Tisdale HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL spin-off movie.
For those who have been longtime fans of the HANNAH MONTANA series, this DVD will satisfy and entertain. If you're looking for a disc featuring the entire season of HANNAH MONTANA FOREVER, though, you'll have to wait a bit longer.
