Executive Producers Matt Stone and Trey Parker present Kenny vs. Spenny, featuring competitions between long-time friends Kenny Hotz and Spencer Rice. Each competition comprises a loosely organized objective and a humiliation for the loser. Some of the challenges include who can stay tied to a goat longer, who can be obese longer, first guy who gets an erection loses, who can blow the biggest fart, who can commit the most crime (an extra episode not seen on television), and several others.

This is base competition, and Kenny is pretty gross. He's one of those loud, obnoxious guys who can generate a fart spontaneously seemingly out of thin air... thin methane... whatever. Spenny is quiet, more reserved and easily embarrassed. These personality differences give Kenny an edge in many of their contests. Kenny doesn't think twice about cheating, and the winner of the contest is decided between the competitors. The crew who observe and record the cheating don't volunteer this info to the other. Note: the methods for quantifying the biggest fart do not pass scientific muster - more methane does not necessarily mean more gas.

The humiliation segments are, indeed, humiliating. The loser of the fart competition for instance, had Canada's national farting champion (and you thought curling was weird) fart directly in his face.

Do the actions of Kenny and Spenny inspire deeper philosophical questions on the nature of human relations? Only if you're trying to squeeze some mote of meaning out of this base program. People who enjoy fart jokes will dig this. Those who happily offer up their fingers for a pulling should be tickled by this. People who photograph their bowel movements for their blogs NEED Kenny vs. Spenny. I do not.
