The students and faculty are back! For those not in the know, Wayside School is the quirky cartoon about the goings on at the nutty 30-story school (accidentally built on its side) - an interesting show and a fine addition to the Nicktoon lineup.

The series takes over where the movie left off. Todd is still the focus of many episodes, but the other characters are investigated more fully in the series. Louis, Myron, Maurecia, Principal Kidswatter, Dana, even Sammy (the dead cafeteria rat) are revealed in more detail.

While some of the voices are different from those in the movie, most children won't notice. The animation style is still clever and entertaining, though perhaps not quite as sharp and quirky as the movie. For sure Todd is more at ease having found his way among the crazy students and faculty. There are 13 epidodes of Wayside School on this two disc set, each broken into two bite-sized stories. They seem more easily digested in DVD form, without the commercial breaks.

I give Wayside School an A. It's fun for the whole family and passes the 'won't annoy after repeated viewings' test!
