The twelfth season of South Park comes through again. Just when you thought Trey Parker and Matt Stone couldn't get more irreverent or more relevant, they do. This season they pull out the stops with such episodes as Major Boobage, in which Kenny becomes addicted to huffing cat pee or "cheesing". It sends him to a crazy otherworld based on the classic film Heavy Metal. Several parts of this fantasy land are very reminiscent of Heavy Metal and the homage is killer. They likely put more money and time into this episode than any other this season.

Over Logging deals with our dependence on the Internet. One day when the Internet goes down, the entire town is brought to its knees. Randy packs up his family to move to Californee where they might find more Internet, paralleling the barren fields in The Grapes of Wrath and following a similar storyline.

Elementary School Musical lampoons the High School Musical craze and pokes fun at the odd bursting into song that happens there.

Britney's New Look assaults the media for its treatment of stars like Britney Spears. When Britney heads over the edge from the pressure, she attempts to kill herself in a way that leaves her with a half a head and a tongue that lolls out of her neck hole. Still the press calls her fat.

This season Paramount includes some actual extra features of value! "The Making of Major Boobage" shows the process used to imitate the immortal original. There are also (reluctant) commentaries from Trey and Matt. Another bonus is the addition of digital copies of the season. Unfortunately, this is restricted to Windows computers and only portable devices compatible with PlaysForSure (whatever the hell that is). The long and short of it is that it excludes Mac users and iPod users.

But really, how many iPods are in use out there?
