Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead.

The title gives a lot away, but this flick doesn't disappoint in keeping horror fans jumping and screaming and guessing, "what next?". The sequel begins with a scream as our favorite nasty trucker takes a brass young woman for her last ride.

Switching to another scene (horror movies' favorite trick for keeping fans on the edge), we meet three young people on their way to Las Vegas to celebrate the upcoming wedding of two of them. The third is the older sister of the bride-to-be. It doesn't take long for the surprises to begin: a fourth passenger met in a coffee shop who is offered to come along for the ride; the breakdown of the car in the middle of a vast, empty (of course) stretch of desert road; and finding help in all the wrong places.

Trying to keep up brave appearances, the four travelers soon discover that being brave, rather than being smart and asking for assistance, is the worst mistake they could make. True to the script of the first Joy Ride, they find themselves manipulated into bloody alliances that end in grotesque grief for the survivors. The twist comes at the end - just when all seems totally controlled by our favorite trucker, the tables turn in the survivors' favor. Or do they? You horror fans will have to watch and see.
