Love is Evol is the latest Comedy Central special from Christopher Titus. Anybody familiar with his work in Norman Rockwell is Bleeding will be be up to speed with his comedic style right away. For the uninitiated, Titus's standup is an interesting mix of insanity and comedy. While most comedians employ a "keep 'em laughing" approach, Titus isn't afraid to get deadly serious from time to time.

Part story and part dire warning, his routines switch gears often. And while Norman Rockwell... covered several subjects, Love is Evol covers only one: his first marriage and subsequent divorce take a center role here. This material draws you in and has an edge that holds your complete attention as his story unfolds. Most of the comedy is dark and disturbing in exactly the way you'd expect from a Christopher Titus routine.

Fortunately, the second half of this show focuses on a new relationship he's in. Here the laughs are of the lighter variety, detailing some of the dumb things we all do starting a new relationship. The show wraps up with words of wisdom and a few ideas for keeping a relationship going. Brutally honest and possessing a dark manic energy, this show is a great addition to his act, and you'll enjoy going along for the ride.
