*Tron: Legacy / Tron: The Original Classic (Five-Disc Combo: Blu-ray 3D / Blu-ray / DVD / Digital Copy)*

In one word, Disney's TRON / TRON: LEGACY five-disc, two-movie collection is awesome. Disney always produces great discs - both standard and Blu-ray - but this is impressive even for them.

This five-disc set includes the TRON: Legacy feature film in Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray 2D, DVD and digital copy (for use in computers and other portable devices), as well as a Blu-ray version of the original classic feature film, TRON.

This set also contains hours and hours of bonus features, including numerous featurettes from the making of the original motion picture TRON to The Next Day: Flynn Lives Revealed and "Disc Roars," which allows you to watch as the director uses the crowd at Comic-Con to record ADR for the disc-game stadium crowd. These discs also include deleted scenes, trailers, a music video, and everything else a TRON fan could ever want.

The movies themselves are quite impressive. TRON: The Original Classic isn't as good as TRON: Legacy, but when you consider when it was made and the technology available to the cast and crew at the time, respect for it grows significantly. While both movies may lack slightly in plot depth and character development, the creativity in set design, costume design and music composition more than makes up for any of the other downfalls.

In TRON: The Original Classic, Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) is transported into the digital computer world that is overtaken by a rogue master control program. With the help of a security program named "Tron," Flynn must compete in games to escape the digital world. This movie wasn't a huge success when it first debuted back in 1982, but it has since become a cult classic.

In TRON: Legacy, Kevin Flynn's son, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), ventures a digital world where he is reunited with his long-lost father (Bridges reprises his original role). With the help of an ISO named Quorra (Olivia Wilde), they must try to save the digital world that has been overtaken by one of Kevin Flynn's creations and get back to the real world before the transport portal is closed.

The list price of this collection might seem a bit high at first, but the hours of entertainment these jam-packed discs deliver are worth every penny.

End of line.
